In fact, exceptional connectivity was one of the key reasons Alderley scored this coveted titled in the inaugural Domain Liveable Brisbane study.

For future Brickworks Park residents, travelling to many key Brisbane hubs will be a breeze.

The new masterplanned neigbourhood is just a short walk from both Alderley and Newmarket train stations and regular bus services along nearby Enoggera Road, offering quick and efficient public transport options in all directions.

When travelling by car, there are multiple choices for getting in and out of Brickworks Park. Mina Parade is close to many major connectors including Enoggera Road, Newmarket Road, Wilston Road, Days Road, South Pine Road, Samford Road, Banks Street, Ashgrove Avenue, Kedron Brook Road, Webster Road and Lutwyche Road.

Even closer to home there’s myriad of shopping, dining and entertainment conveniences within a 15-minute walk, such as convenience shopping at Coles supermarket in Alderley, the cinema and restaurants at Newmarket Village, local gyms and sports fields, and the Newmarket Swimming Pool, which is virtually in the back yard.

CBD and Fortitude Valley

Leave Platform 1 of Newmarket train station and be at Central Station 13 minutes later.

The train from Newmarket costs only $3.37 on the go card. What’s more, trains depart every quarter of an hour during the day from Monday to Friday, and the walk to the station only takes 10 minutes.

For the cost of a small cup of coffee, you can catch the bus from the intersection of Lloyd Street (stop 25) and be at Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley in around 20 minutes.

Buses leave Sedgley Park and deliver you to the Ann Street stop at City Hall. The 345 bus leaves stop 26 at South Pine Road as part of its journey through Newmarket, Normanby, City and the Cultural Centre.

Rail or bus commuting – made so easy at Alderley – beats driving when it comes to car parking fees, which can amount to thousands of dollars each year if you are a daily commuter.

If you are driving there’s many ways into Bowen Hills, the Valley or CBD.

Options include jumping onto Enoggera Road via Alderley Avenue, turning left into Newmarket Road and travelling through to Lutwyche Road.  Another popular route follows Lutwyche Road into the Valley and City via Days Road.

Chermside Shopping Centre

At Brickworks Park, you are only minutes away from Australia’s second largest shopping centre by store numbers, Westfield Chermside.

Jump in the car for a quick 7km journey along Yarradale Street to Days Road and then onto Webster and Hamilton Roads.

Alternatively, take the 325 bus departing Newmarket train station at Wilston Road and be at shops – more than 500 of them – in only 20 minutes.

Fun and games

Brickworks Park is short 7-minute ride from the Kedron Brook Bikeway, which runs for almost 20 kms through Brisbane’s northside.

Catch the bus or train to Suncorp Stadium to watch your team battle it out.

Alternatively, take the kids to a game at the Gabba or some outdoor fun at Roma Street Parkland, South Bank or Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
